Description
This is a representation of the medical and community efforts that are put forward to be able to find a cure & heal the wounds caused by illness. The large marble seen in the background encapsulates the human mind, body and spirit. It portrays the essence of health by combining soothing colors and a free-form organic figure.
The adhesive bandage, a symbol of the importance of soothing; as a mother to a child when the child has been hurt and needs to be comforted to continue on. An adhesive bandage can begin the process of physical healing. It can also provide the feeling of tenderness and care that are so present in the healthcare providers of this field. It also serves as the purpose of connecting the mind, body & spirit.
The smaller marble is a representation of gaining control of illness through research, technology, medical treatment and spiritual healing. Finally, a glimmer of hope can be seen shining out from this marble as a reflection of those efforts.

I want to thank all of you and of course the collector who purchased this print. The original painting was donated to The League against Cancer based in Miami, Florida. It is also the poster for their yearly walk-a-thon plus the official commemorative poster given to the largest sponsors, city officials and other involved persons and institutions. Walk for Health!
